Cooler Master Cosmos SE Review

Cooler Master Cosmso SE Review.00_00_06_15.Still001This huge ‘mid-tower’ is one of my favorite PC cases in the world, and trust me, there are plenty of reasons for it to be yours too. Lets start with the looks. Cooler Master have taken the Cosmos II (one of the bigger PC cases on the market) and shrunk it down to a more wallet friendly size. This case is considered, and labeled a mid tower, but I find that hard to believe as it sits next to my Cooler Master Storm Trooper, full tower case. It is the same size. Anyway, the model we got has a huge side panel window made of ultra-thick plastic, and allow you to see the main parts of the PC, the hard drive cages and the top of the power supply. Personally I am not too interested in seeing the hard drive bays, but since the Cosmos range has been famous for some of the coolest mods in the world, this should be no exception! Since you are able to remove the drive cages yourself, you could easily do a pretty awesome water cooling loop with two GPU’s and an awesome tube res of something.

From the side, you’ll see the bars at the top and the bottom which are awesome. For me, they are an awesome aesthetic feature, make it very easy to pick the case up, and mean there is a lot of breathing space at the bottom for the PSU and other fans to intake clean, dust free air (there is dust filters everywhere on this thing, which is freaking awesome!). On the bottom bars, you’ll see two rubber feet on each bar that keep this extremely heavy case still, even on polished wood. I love this. Feet on this kind of stuff is something Tom goes on about a lot, but I really do like the fact you literally can’t move this unless you pick it up.Cooler Master Cosmso SE Review.00_00_18_22.Still002
