Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SSD Review

Samsung 850 EVO M.2 SSD Review.00_02_06_21.Still005So this drive, while still SATA, performs very very well. In the real world,  you’ll see it reaching between 450MB/s and 300MB/s. In synthetic tests, such as ATTO and AS SSD, you’ll find that it will hit somewhere around 500MB/s and 550MB/s on both read and writes. That qualifies that this drive is amazing in both size, speed and price!

Ideally, this drive is for someone who doesn’t want any 2.5″ or 3.5″ drives in their micro-size system, and you still get a hell of a lot of the system.

Here is my quote, ‘If you have access to a M.2 slot, on your board, buy this drive.’ That isn’t because Samsung sent us this drive nearly 2 months ago, it’s not because we are bias, it’s because it is great value for the speed, and well worth the extra space as something like a boot drive or even a cache drive. I like the drive a hell of a lot if you can’t tell, and I would say my opinion is pretty justified!
