So. The card. It is incredibly small, especially for am overclocked card, but it pays the price for this shortness with heat output – something we will cover in more detail later. The card features a dual fan design, although unlike MSI’s 960, this card does not feature independent fan control – something I quite like, even if it is more of a marketing thing than anything else. The card uses PCI-E Gen 3.0 like all 900 series cards from Nvidia, and is powered by a single 6 pin PCI-E power connector.Zotac GTX 960 AMP! Edition Review.Still008

The back of the card reveals the rear I/O, which is the standard 900 series ports, three full size DisplayPorts, an HDMI port and a DVI-D Dual Link port. The back of the card also has a large area of triangular ventilation, presumably for an exhaust as the card needs it (and more)!

It features diagonal cuts to allow heat to escape, a nice shiny Zotac logo and some gun-metal grey paint which goes well with the carbon fiber look of the heatsink shroud. Something cool about the backplate/heatsink is the cuts around the edge, as they look like the edges of saws (in my head anyway) which made me think about the card sawing through games.
