Razer Firefly Chroma RGB Mousepad
|
I think this is possibly the most Razer product, Razer could ever create. This mousepad, with it’s ‘non-slip rubber base’ and ‘micro-textured finish’ is possibly the only mousepad in the world that requires you to plug it in via USB.. Now, remember, Razer isn’t new to mouse pads, with it’s Goliathus (and subsequent smaller variations) it did rather well – I know a few people who have then and they aren’t disappointed. But now, the Firefly, is a bit of a change from that. It is a smaller 14×10 inch pad, with a thickness of 4mm (including the LED strip around the side, but not including the bulge at the top that houses the PCB for this. For me, I’d like to see the cable be removable and just used to sync the settings and have an eneloop battery or something in here.. I know it doesn’t move and you wouldn’t need it to, but it seems strange having four USB ports (assuming you use the pass through function on the Black Widow range like I do) taken up by the keyboard and mouse (and pad..) especially since for a smaller system – or even something like the YoYoTech Warbird GTI which only has 6 USB ports on the back.
I guess there isn’t much to say, besides that it will probably look pretty cool, but I won’t be getting one. It seems so strange to have a mouse pad with a ‘System Requirements’ list on the product page that doesn’t just say ‘A desk and a mouse’ – but hey, that’s me! Let me know what you think in the comments down below and I will get back to you as soon as I can!
