TN – Advantages

So as you can see, the basic break down is that if you want a gaming monitor, go TN. If you need colour accuracy, IPS is for you!
Some interesting detail here is that there is actually quite a few versions of IPS, so depending on which manufacturer you buy from, will depend on the type of IPS. Some come in a chevron design to increase the viewing angle, some come with straight (ish) pixels but have a very interesting technology behind them, and others come with groups of the same colour to increase intensity and viewing angles.
