|Apple + BMW = iCar, apparently.
For many years now we have been hearing about this mythical Apple car, now the myth may turn reality. The latest gossip is that Apple are in talks with BMW to use the i3 body for the “i” car. Sources claim Apples executives including the CEO Tim Cook have been visiting BMW’s plant in Germany. Remember these are reports and hearsay.

The i3 is the lower end of BMW’s i series of cars. Even though its the lowest end it still costs a lovely £30,980 for the base model. Knowing apple this price would be much much more. The car also has a pretty mediocre range of 80 miles, when comparing to the Tesla model s, which has a range of 260 miles, but does cost £15,000 more. Manager Magazin said that BMW are working on a “significantly larger electric range”.
