What can around £2000 or $2200 get you when it comes to building a gaming PC? The rather obvious answer is a lot, so in this video I want to show you this build, what parts I used and ones you might want to change out, as well as how it performs. Lets get into it, but first, if you haven’t already, consider subscribing for more videos every Monday, Wednesday and Friday!

Parts wise, starting with the CPU I went with the newest Ryzen chip, the 3900XT. This is a turbo boosting monster that when kept cool can offer a good amount of extra performance over the standard X chip for not all that much more money. It’s also still a 12 core, so productivity is a breeze – something that this build will cater to nicely.

Keeping it cool is my favourite AIO, the fractal design S24. It’s a standard Asetek cooler, but has a few really nice features like an integrated fan hub on the radiator keeping it a subtle and easy to use option.

The motherboard I have is the ASRock B550 Steel Legend, a great board with solid VRMs, 2.5Gb ethernet and of course future Zen 3 support should you fancy an upgrade down the line.

RAM is this PNY XLR8 kit, actually 2 of them for a total of 64GB of 3200MHz CL18 DDR4. This is helping to cater to the video editors and game developers who would want this much CPU horsepower on tap, but of course you can go with less if you’d rather.

As for the GPU, it’s also from PNY and their XLR8 brand, as it’s an RTX 2070 Super. A very capable card of pushing high settings 1440p gaming, plenty of acceleration capability and relatively quiet too.

Storage is fulfilled by this Sabrent Rocket 4.0, a lightning fast PCIe Gen 4 NVME SSD with it’s massive heatsink too. You can also throw in a 2 or 4TB HDD for mass storage, especially if you do want to edit videos or something like that.

The PSU is currently a Cooler Master MWE650, a nice value and quality modular PSU, but thanks to stock availability you will have to pick whatever is available that’s 650W or higher, and at a reasonable price where you are.

Finally, the case is a Phanteks Enthoo Evolv, a stunning, super easy to build in chassis that I can’t recommend enough. Really, really like it.

As for what you might swap out, if you want to make it more gaming focused, you can drop the extra RAM and get 32GB of 3600MHz CL18, drop the CPU to the 3800XT instead, the SSD can be swapped for a Gen 3 option and get a 2080 Super for better in game FPS.

So, that’s the spec, what about performance?
