Wow. This drive is amazing. Great performance and capacity for a good price.
I am beyond impressed with this drive. I have an "older" Gigabyte G1 X99 gaming motherboard that I have been using for the past 5 years. This motherboard has an M.2 slot, but it is an older slot. So I purchased a Sabrent M.2 to PCIe adaptor card in order to get maximum speed out of this drive. My system drive is a pair of SSD drives running in RAID 0 (fast) mode. This system drive is very fast and has served me well. I'm still using it, because of the motherboard limitations. I can't use a RAID array and my M.2 slot at the same time.Take a look at the screenshots that I attached and see the comparison. This is the CrystalDiskMark (speed test) comparison between a pair of SSDs and this new Sabrent M.2 drive. This new drive is amazing and can read over 3 times faster and write about 5 times faster than a *RAID ARRAY* of SSD drives on 6 GB/s SATA. That is incredible. I am blown away from this drive's speed and capacity at a very fair price.Of course, I have no idea about the drive's longevity or durability. But as long as this drive keeps working then I am going to be a loyal Sabrent customer for life. I even contacted them with a question and the customer service was good. I see no reason that I can't fully recommend this drive based on my experience so far.Well packed, well shipped (FexEx... right on time) and signature on delivery for extra assurance that it arrived in my hands. Overall this is one of my best computer purchasing experiences so far. Very well done Sabrent.

I needed to beef up the storage in my laptop that conveniently has 2 spots to accept this type of storage, so I dropped the money on getting the 4TB version of the Rocket, which was the largest at the time.

Having used this for about a year, I can solidly say it was well worth the money. I've never had one issue with access, everything is always lightning fast, and I have never noticed any overheating issues. It was very easy to install and configure, and having that much storage has been incredible.

Like humans always do, my storage needs have grown to fill the space that I've gotten, so I'll probably replace the 1 TB system drive I already had with the 8TB model from Rocket before long. There are cheaper 4 (and 8) TB drives out there, but this one is a proven performer and I'm not willing to gamble on something inferior just to save a few bucks.

I can't recommend this thing more. Particularly if you are upgrading from a mechanical drive to one of these, you will not regret going to a SSD. Power off to ready to use is less than 10 seconds on my laptop, as compared to a minute or 2 previously with a mechanical drive. You definitely won't regret this upgrade.

I have a machine with a mix of sabrent and intel 660s, and this drive convinced me that I can't get rid of the intels fast enough.

      Pros:
HUGE! 4Tb is awesome for a single NVMe (though apparently there is an 8Tb option as well, but I'm sure that costs more than the PC I'm putting it in.
FAST! You can go faster if you get PCIe 4.0 (and since the price difference isn't even a 5% bump for 50% faster you should buy the Q4 instead if your system can fully utilize it) but on PCI3 3.0 device I'm satisfied. For reference, I moved 1.5 TB off a 2 Tb SSD onto this 4Tb SSD in under an hour including opening the computer twice.

      Cons:
Pricy! However, this QLC (4 bits per slot) brings the price down more than a $100 from the Rocket, without compromising speed.

In short, if you need a huge fast drive buy this. If it needs to be even faster buy a smaller sabrent. If slow is fine and portability doesn't matter you can't beat spinning discs for raw capability, but if speed or portability are needed with the capacity this is the drive for you.

I bought this product for my Lenovo E15 Gen2 laptop. While the size is supported, it really does not fit properly as the laptop has been designed for single sided nvme drives.

Had to remove the sticker on the drive and the thermal paste from the motherboard to get this to fit, and still there was a little flex in the nvme board. Why the laptop manufacturer could not raise the connector half a millimeter is beyond me.

On the practical side, it's huge amounts of fast storage, and that is exactly what is needed for video production on the go. :)

First of all my laptop is brand spanking new so there is no room for software or hardware issues that would come into place here.

So the seller said that this ssd works with
Dell XPS 15 9500 and that a heatsink is not supported on a laptop. Both of these are wrong. A specific heatsink is required for ssd's in laptops. I tried it as a Secondary SSD at first, windows wouldn't boot (tried this for about 20 times, kernel error), so i disabled the secondary SSD on BIOS and windows booted first pop. Maybe i thought it wouldn't work in conjunction with my primary ssd since that one is encrypted. So i decided to take that one out and use the Sabrent as the primary and do a clean install of Windows 10. Well that didn't work either, i kept getting error messages and the computer kept restarting. So that was my last straw and im not ruining my $2500 business laptop to make this $600 ssd work. The laptop just didn't like this particular harddrive. So now i have ordered a Evo 970 Samsung series 2 x 2TB, Fingers crossed!

Wanted to run all-SSD storage, so needed a larger drive for the photo library. This is well priced and more than sufficiently performant.

Update: the 4TB was so good that I also got the 8TB, which is also just as good.

After using the Crucial P3 plus (gen 4 and 2,000mbps faster) it became evident that specs on paper mean nothing. Sure, the crucial drive CAN get those speeds, but it doesnt. Moving even a couple GB of data, and the cache fills, rendering your NVMe useless.

I did a head to head against this sabrent drive. The sabrent cache is VASTLY larger, meaning you can sustain max speeds in writes for MANY GB of data. When it does sill, rather than dropping to literally 0 mbps, it drops to around 300mbps. VERY acceptable.

Value for the money, this is the best large volume nvme around currently.

See my pictures for a comparison between the sabrent and the Crucial P3 plus. the results speak for themselves.

Diese SSD funktioniert gut und ich bin mehr als zufrieden. Ich würde es jetzt gerne durch das 8 Tb ersetzen, aber dieses ist immer noch teuer für mich.
