Cooler Master Cosmos SE Review

Cooler Master Cosmso SE Review.00_00_27_22.Still003The front of the tower is very nicely designed. It has ‘3’ 5.25″ bays, although you only actually have two. If you want to remove the hard drive cages inside, you can use the included bracket to mount up to a 360mm radiator behind the dust-filtered intake at the front. As stock, you get two blue LED fans that are connected to the LED switch on the front I/O.

The interesting thing that you’ll find when you take the front cover off, is two inward facing drive sleds. These sleds look like a type of hot swap bays, but there is no backplane with sata power and data, it is literally just two 90 degree rotated drive sleds. From my experience with the Storm Trooper, these are really hard to cable manage well, but I’m glad they are there, since even if you want all the other drive cages gone so you can mount a rad, you can still shove two 3.5″ and 2.5″ drives in proper mounts.

This panel alone makes this case incredibly easy to build in, you don’t need to worry about having all the cables nice and neat and cable tied down. It also looks awesome… But that is just a lucky side effect of course… Anyway, onto the back!
