MSI 24GE 2QE All-In-On Review

MSI 24GE All In One.00_03_46_21.Still018A nice comparison for this is the iMac. To compare the newest spec 2.15″ iMac (since they don’t sell a 24″ and the 27″ is a different class, and WAY more expensive), if you look for similar spec between the two, the iMac comes out nearly £400 more expensive. It also comes with a lower powered GT750m compared the the GTX960m and has 1GB of VRAM missing. The storage options are limited, since you can only have either 256GB of ‘Flash storage’ or a 1TB HDD (you can buy a 1TB ‘Fusion drive’ but that is still 256GB of SSD space missing), whereas the 24GE has two 128GB SSDs in RAID 0 for stupid fast speeds.

Overall, I really like the screen. The PC behind it, not so much. Personally I don’t see much reason for buying one of these, but then again I have had a gaming desktop for 3 years, and a whole host of different form factors of PCs, and this one just doesn’t appeal to me. I do like the HDMI pass through, but the recording feature is something I would NEED to see before I would consider caring about this that much. It is definitely one of the best AIOs and certainly better than most in it’s class, but it just isn’t for me. Let me know in the comments down below if you have an all in one, and what the appeal is.

It’s a cool product, but I just can’t see anyone wanting one. What do you think?
