£90 really isn’t much when it comes to speakers, especially a nice bluetooth set like these, with dual RCA in and even two ¼ inch jacks that are technically “mic in”s. You can easily spend hundreds of pounds on a good set of speakers, so it was a massive surprise to me when I got them out their box, and sat down for a first listen. They are, quite frankly, incredible.

As always with audio gear, I recorded my first reactions to them, and as you can see, I was rather impressed. Now I’m no audio enthusiast, and I have more hearing loss than a 22 year old should reasonably have, but I really can’t recommend these enough. They are pretty clear, even at high volumes, with good vocals, and impressive, punchy bass which can be adjusted with the dial on the back. It was actually enough to shake the table, when turned all the way up.

If you are an EDM head, then I think you’ll like these a lot. Especially with that dial turned up, the bass is pretty strong, although not overdone, and still pretty clear too. For more vocal, light stuff, they aren’t quite as strong. They certainly aren’t bad, but they aren’t the crispest speakers around. They do still have a pretty impressive sound stage though, making you feel like the audio isn’t just coming from each speaker but instead more like from right in the room with you.

While they aren’t quite as clear as the Luna speakers I checked out recently, they are less than half the price for what I’d guess is probably 90% of the quality, so I’m pretty happy with that.

I was only using spotify and bluetooth for this too, so if you want even better quality, a nice DAC and some lossless FLAC files would be a dream with these. You even get a RCA to 3.5mm cable in the box, which is great.

Functionally, they have a 4” bass/midrange driver and a ¼” tweeter per unit, and uses standard speaker wire between them so they can be mounted as far apart as you need. They also have a rather nice aesthetic too, along with three adjustment dials on the right side of the right speaker too.

So, overall I’m very happy to recommend these. For just £90 you get a great set of pretty versatile speakers that can have you kareoki-ing the night away, or just chilling with some nice music, or even as a mini home theatre setup if you prefer.
